What is the Alumni wiki ?
| The Alumni Wiki is a resource created and written by the EMBL Alumni Association for people who are about to leave or have already left EMBL. It contains contributions from alumni who have made the transition into academia, industry, commerce, government and a range of other careers. These contributions aim to capture the tremendous wealth of experience represented by the alumni membership for the benefit of current EMBL members and fellow alumni.
What is the content ?
| The contributions in the wiki cover all aspects of the alumni experience from setting up a research laboratory and obtaining funding to the practical details of setting up home in a different country. The first section contains the experience and advice of alumni, followed by country-specific information in the second section - the Chapter View.

Who are the Alumni ?
| EMBL has over 4000 alumni. These are former scientists, support staff, members of the administration, students, fellows and visitors both at Heidelberg as well as the Outstations in Grenoble, Hamburg, Monterotondo and EMBL-EBI Hinxton who were at EMBL for at least 3 months. Over a third of EMBL alumni are members of the Alumni Association.
May I contribute ?
| In keeping with the wiki philosophy, all EMBL members past and present will be able to contribute. See the Help section for details. All contributions will carry the name and country location of the contributor.
